The ATR-72P is a pressurized 68 seat twin-engine turbo-prop, medium-range regional airliner. The aircraft is capable of operations on both paved and unpaved strips and is equipped with self-contained boarding air stairs to provide independence at remote airfields. The ATR-72P is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW124B engines. The engines feature low fuel burns, providing impressive operating metrics on significant sectors.
Summit Air currently operates two ATR-72P in full passenger configuration and has configured two other ATR-72s into full freighter aircraft – one with a standard-sized cargo door and one with a large cargo door.
